Refine an existing document

Use ordinary language or six focused verbs to change the direction without starting over.

The verbs

RequestJob
simplifyRemove structure and decoration that are not helping.
bolderRaise contrast, scale, and visual confidence.
quieterReduce intensity without losing hierarchy.
animateAdd purposeful motion with a reduced-motion path.
polishFinish alignment, spacing, consistency, and edge cases.
reviewReport problems without changing the file.

You can be more specific: “make the finding impossible to miss,” “the mobile reading order is wrong,” or “this feels too much like a dashboard.” Your direction outranks the default verb behavior.

Preserve settled color choices

Refinement keeps approved identity and meaningful category mappings. “Quieter” might mean lower chroma or less color coverage; it does not automatically mean a different hue. Simplify removes redundant emphasis, not chart categories merely because several colors are present. Neutral surfaces do not need tinting by default.

Ask for a direct change when the intent is clear, or compare color and typography alternatives before choosing. Check actual foreground/background contrast and preserve labels or other cues when color conveys meaning.
