The 103 packages contain design guidance, tokens, and previews. Each README links those sources and gives an example of theme usage. This index reflects the immutable 0.5.1 catalog.

Apply a theme to one artifact

Use a reference design system as a theme when you want its visual language applied to a document:

Apply Editorial to this report. Replace the project's visual styling for this
artifact only; keep its logo, content, section order, and behavior.

The agent reads the package README as an entry point, then applies DESIGN.md and tokens.css together. This includes typography, colors, spacing, surfaces, and component treatment, not just a palette swap. Project styling remains the default unless you explicitly approve an artifact exception. The agent asks when the requested theme conflicts with binding project guidance and the scope is unclear.

Theme use changes the artifact, not the reference package or project design files. It does not save a theme object or replace project authority. Use teach to record project guidance.

Compare themes before choosing

Ask Artifact Explore to compare Editorial and Swiss on the same content and layout, or to compare narrower color or typography choices. Specify which project choices remain binding and which may vary. The agent shows the comparison and waits for a selection and apply request. No existing layout is required.

Color follows the brief: pale, muted, vivid, and deep palettes can all work. Neutral gray, red identities, and several accents are valid; actual pairings must remain readable and meaning must not depend on color alone. See color exploration for a focused example.
