Tell the agent who will read it, what decision it should support, and which project context matters. The result is an HTML file you can open locally and review.
What visualize does
It selects from the released template contracts, uses project context when available, avoids common generated-design defaults, and checks basic accessibility and document quality. The output remains ordinary HTML, not a proprietary format.
Apply a reference theme
Ask to use a design-system reference as a theme for this artifact. The agent applies its design guidance and tokens together, including typography, colors, spacing, surfaces, and component treatment.
Apply Editorial to this report. Replace the project's visual styling for this
artifact only; keep its logo, content, section order, and behavior.
Project styling remains the default unless you explicitly approve an artifact exception. This request does not update DESIGN.md, PRODUCT.md, or project tokens. No exploration round is required when you already chose a reference.
One direction or several
Ordinary creation proposes one document shape before writing HTML. Use Artifact Explore to compare structure, visual treatment, or both. You can start without a supplied layout or persisted design profile; available project guidance still applies.
Explore keeps the target unchanged until you choose and ask to apply a direction. It does not establish a new project design system.
Generated imagery is a separate choice
Most artifacts do not need generated imagery. When it is essential, visualize can use an explicitly selected released route listed under supported hosts. Other routes remain maintainer candidates. If no released route is available, creation stops with setup guidance.
visualize passes the image prompt and approved references to the selected route. Its finalizer writes the requested PNG or JPEG in the approved project directory and no adjacent metadata file. The agent must open and visually inspect it before use. visualize returns ordinary route and actual-output diagnostics for the run.
visualize preserves the provider's image bytes and metadata unchanged. It does not add prompt data to the image or publish the image automatically.
