The difference
Anthropic introduced Claude Design as a hosted research-preview product for creating and collaborating on designs, prototypes, slides, and one-pagers. Its announcement describes private, organization-link, and edit-sharing options plus group conversation. Anthropic's announcement is the source for those claims.
visualize is a free, open-source Agent Skill. It works with several skill-capable agents, reads project context, and writes portable HTML to your filesystem. It has no visualize account or hosted canvas.
